Critique of Jacob Davis story: Recap Tennessee Dominates Arkansas, 75-57

Image
The story that i am critiquing is:  https://www.arkansasfight.com/2023/3/1/23620150/recap-tennessee-dominates-arkansas-75-57     See I am not as hurt by this loss as my cousin Ethan will be, reason being is I am a Kentucky Wildcats fan not an Arkansas fan. In their house those are fighting words, lets hope that they play this bad this coming weekend when they play my guys. All my bias aside, this is a really good team paired with in my opinion is one of the best coaches there has ever been. If this team can get it going in the postseason, they will be a contender for the championship for sure. The writer of this post, Jacob Davis, pulls together all the points that leads to this devastating loss that Arkansas took, he also takes a look at the other side of the ball and talks about their point guard getting injured. He really knows what he is talking about, all the reasons he stated and the detail he give really shows he knows the game very well.

Photos: The Beauty of Life

The Beauty of Life       The beauty of life can come in many different forms. It can come in the sights or sounds of nature, the form of a babies smile, the unconditional love of your family, the friends that have your your back when times are tough, that tough relationship you went through, or even the passing of a close friend. The one thing dictating what we see as beautiful or ugly is our own point of view. All the things I listed, yes even the last ones, have beauty in them even when you can not see it at first.      In life our perception of things is was judges if we are seeing the beauty around us or just the ugliness that we seem to always focus on. I know I have the tendency to do that sometimes. How we view the things that happen in our life dictate how we feel. The times that the horrible things happen in our life we have to look at the things around us that are beautiful and that we are thankful for. Look for the beauty in life, even through the tough times. Countless pe

Critique of a Good Samaritan story out of Buffalo New York by Isabel Keane

The story I am critiquing is:  https://nypost.com/2023/01/15/buffalo-man-saved-during-blizzard-loses-fingers-to-frostbite/ This story covers a story of a lady,  Sha’Kyra Aughtry,   helping a mentally disabled man,  Joey White, survive one of Buffalo New York’s worst blizzards. He had frostbite so bad were he lost almost all ten of his finger, he has one of his thumbs left. The blizzard had happened around Christmas time, so the reporter cold have stopped there and took that as the reason she performed this great act of kindness you know just feeling generous from the time of year. But, what I think is important is she did not stop there she got to the root of the real reasoning behind why this lady let a complete stranger in her home and take care of him the way she did. The reason is because just four years before this happened her brother came crawling to her doorstep crying for help dying from a gunshot wound, so she knew she could not let that happen again. When she heard and saw

Critique of a Good Samaritan story out of Texas by David Propper

Image
The story I am critiquing is:  https://nypost.com/2023/02/24/video-shows-bystander-chase-down-man-who-killed-texas-off-duty-cop-in-car-crash/   This story covers the car crash and drunken manslaughter of police detective Alex Cervantes, but focuses mainly on the Good Samaritan, Justin Gonzalez, that chased down the now convicted killer,  Dylan   Molina, that was trying to flee the scene on foot. This incident took place in 2021, but the story giving Justin credit for helping did not happen until 2023. Now this was due to a new video surfacing showing him chasing and tackling Dylan, not to them necessarily just missing this part of the story. This story also includes the charges that the bartender is facing for allegedly continuing to serve him knowing he was already drunk. The way this story covers all the bases of this accident and gives credit to Justin for courageously running after Dylan not knowing if he had a weapon on him, is perfectly done.
